How it works, and what it costs.
Six weeks to ready
Six weeks is long enough for your body to really change and for the training to become a habit, and short enough to stay excited about it.
- Week 1
We talk, and I build your plan.
You tell me where you want to go and where you're starting from. I'll ask about your energy, your joints, old injuries, and what worries you about the trip. Then I build your plan, with short workouts you can do at home with simple equipment.
- Weeks 2 to 5
We train together.
Regular video check-ins to coach your form, cheer you on, and adjust as you get stronger.
- Week 6
We practice the trip.
Travel adds up, day after day and staircase after staircase. So we train for back-to-back days, not just one good day.
- After
You go.
With a plan for the week before you leave and for keeping your energy up while you're away.
All virtual, from your living room. In-person sessions on request.
Fewer than six weeks to go? Start anyway. We'll focus on what helps most in the time you have.
Bigger goal, or starting further back? Some people do a second six weeks.

Questions people ask
What equipment do I need?
Not much. A sturdy chair, a step, and a resistance band. I'll tell you exactly what you need.
How do the video sessions work?
We meet on a video call from your laptop, tablet or phone. I watch you move, coach your form, and adjust your plan.
Is this safe with my health condition?
Tell me about it when we talk. I'll build around it, and if something needs your doctor first, I'll say so.
Is this physical therapy?
No. It's training for travel, from a physical therapist. If you need physical therapy treatment, I'll point you in the right direction.
